Manmade channels have exacerbated the effects of the annual rains and again we are seeing our satellite clinics perilously close to flooding. The yellow block clinic at Akparemor is just clear of the water and similarly, at Ekameta the main clinic is accessible only by the raised walkways.Dysentery and diarrhoea illnesses are rife and with the dirty water comes infections.

Below is a boy with some huge and septic ulcers requiring some days on IV antibiotics. At very real risk of sepsis the abscesses were drained and he made a full recovery. This is a particularly difficult part of the year for the work with many displaced people, homes and crops ruined and disease rife. Last month we saw over 400 patients and undertook 125 home visits. We appreciate your support that is so vital at this time.

This newsletter is brief as, Praise God, the work is going well and though ‘the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; (and )it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock’ ( Matthew 7:25). The  foundation of the work is Jesus, the Christ, in whom the Mission has its being.

Without this sure foundation and anchor ‘the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
(Matthew 7:27)

We will continue to testify of His sufficiency in the work.
